Local Elders Will Enjoy Living Downtown

Vibrant during the spring, summer and fall and quiet throughout the winter months, La Veta’s small downtown offers a surprising range of amenities. The La Veta Village Senior Assisted Living Community will be located a half block east of the center of town, offering residents easy access to shopping, services, and cultural events.

Shopping, Services, & Cultural Events

A car will not be a requisite for La Veta Village residents to get around and enjoy what La Veta has to offer. An easy walk around the corner is a coffee shop, beauty salon, a few gift shops and art galleries and a book store. Charlie’s Grocery store bustles throughout the day and has a wonderful ice cream parlor and their deli makes fresh sandwiches to order. The renowned La Veta Library is one block away and offers special events throughout the year. The La Veta Community Center offers senior yoga classes. The La Veta Mercantile and the Francisco Center for the Performing Arts present arts, sciences, and humanity programs during the summer months.  With a quick walk of no more than two blocks one can enjoy a few lunch and dinner spots, a quiet wine bar, and the seasonal Farmers Market.

Local Community Support

La Veta Village, Inc. is a grassroots 501(c)3 non-profit organization with a local Board of Directors that will own and operate the La Veta Village Assisted Living Community. As part of our future planning, we are looking to local individuals and organizations to become part of our exciting future by encouraging community involvement and financial support. This support is essential to delivering a broad range of amenities and services that will help our residents thrive at La Veta Village. We continue to meet with individuals and organizations in the Spanish Peaks communities and we would like to hear from you.
